Grammie Visits

Camden asked for weeks when Grammie was going to visit.  He was so excited to meet her at the airport.

Camden picked out some crazy daisies and Grammie loved them.

Cam told us he wanted to tackle Grammie and we reminded him that she was older, so he took it easy on her.  But Grammie ended up on the floor tackling and tickling Camden anyway.

There was baking, water fights and hugs on the deck

We celebrated my birthday with cake and handmade party hats!  Camden sang too....well, kind of.

After all that cake...we had Dentist ;)  Regular check up actually.

We took a drive to Cape Enrage.  It was cold and windy and Camden slept through the whole visit.

We found a barf machine...it was awesome!

Grammie's last day.  Hugs and kisses (aka bites) too.

Thanks for the visit Grammie!  See you next Summer.

Water Park

We tried the water park last year and Camden was pretty timid around the other kids and the jets of water were kind of frightening.  We made another attempt this past weekend and it took a little warming up,  but he enjoyed himself.

McDonalds

Camden gets to have McDonalds as a treat when he and I go shopping.  One day he started asking to take my order and the rest is history!

In the tub playing McDonalds with me.

I was searching online for a toy cash register for Cam to use and instead found an entire McDonalds play set.  My wonderful co-worker Dave picked it up for me in NS and sent it up with our Straight Truck driver.
Thank you Dave!!

Camden said....

Camden upon seeing a handicap parking spot: "Ha ha, he is going potty"

***********************************************************

Ron: Camden, time to brush your teeth
Camden: Where is my brush teether

(Looks like I am not the only one to mix up my words)

***********************************************************

Camden at the park (gesturing wildly with his hands): That boy was throwing rocks.  I asked him to stop THREE times.
Me: Did he stop?
Camden: No!  Makes me so mad!  (throwing hands in the air again and then stalked off).

Weekend Away - Dalhousie, NB

It has been three long years since we had the chance to visit my home town.  The last time we were there we arrived in the middle of a blinding snowstorm and I was expecting Camden in a month.  We had a lovely time then and again on this trip.

We spotted a large moose bathing and drinking off the highway.  Ron and Camden got out for a closer look.  Camden was thrilled and talked about the moose the rest of the day.

Once we arrived in town it was to the hotel for a rest, dinner at Dixie Lee and then a trip to the park.

This is the same Lions Club lion that I remember as a kid.
Now a water fountain.

Cam enjoyed and explored the park.  Playing on everything
and talking to everyone!

On Saturday we met up with Waynonda and her family.  It was wonderful to see her again after 11 years.  Mercedes and Justin are all grown up and going to University and baby Thomas is no longer a baby.

The kids played in the water and Ron dug up some
crabs for everyone to see.

After we had lunch we went to the Rotary Park in downtown Dalhousie.  The kids - big and small, had a lot of fun here too.

I know we spent Saturday night and Sunday with friends but for some reason I have zero pictures.  We had a nice evening with Jennifer and Yan as they celebrated Alyssa's graduation from High School.  On Sunday I bumped into Nikki whom I have not seen since 1992!  So nice to see her.  We visited with Papa and Nana Bitto and then hit the road to home.

After taking a wrong turn and adding two hours to our trip unnecessarily, we made it home at 7:30 pm.  What a nice weekend!

Family Walk

With our opposite work schedules it is often difficult to find a day that we can spend time together as a family.  This particular Sunday was lovely and bright and we walked to the museum.

We saw a deer in the backyard of our neighbours house.

This is the full view of the same yard - breathtaking!

On an old hay wagon

Playing on the WWI Gun (he calls them the cannons)

Snuggles with Daddy

Shoot em Mum-Mum!

An exciting game of tag around the RB Bennet monument
