Camden said...

Some random chatter from Camden lately.

  • Last week while trying to get Camden to sleep he grabbed my face and gave me a big kiss.
Cam: Niiiice kiss Mum-Mum, Wuv ewe

My first "I love you" from my boy.....LOVE!

  • Last night after supper we were playing outside and for some reason Camden gave me a kiss and then said, "All better now Mommy".  Then he had me carry him to Ron and he kissed Ron and said, "All better now Daddy".

  • Also last night, we were playing with the lawnmower.  I pulled it up the side hill and Cam stood behind it and ran with it down the hill.  I was standing at the bottom and he yelled out, "Watch out Mum-Mum".

  • For some reason every night when I get home from work Camden asks me if I bought "groceries".  I think he is looking for a treat :)

Spring

We have had some Spring like weather lately and took advantage of it with outside play.

Mum-Mum said what?

While running a bath for Camden last night he walked in with a banana in his hand.  I told him a banana didn't need a bath and to please bring it back to the kitchen.

Off he went, only to return a minute later with an onion.  Again I asked him to put the onion back in the kitchen.

He left and once more I turned my attention to preparing his bath when suddenly there was a splash beside me.  I looked over to see a sweet potato in the tub amongst the bubbles.

"Camden!  No vegetables in the tub!"

2nd Birthday Party!

We had Camden's birthday party on April 6th and I think it was a wonderful success.  Everyone who was invited arrived and our house was packed.  It was awesome!

I wasn't sure how Camden would react to all the people and noise, he doesn't see many people on a day to day basis and doesn't have the chance to interact with many children.  I needn't have worried, he was amazing.

He would walk in the room where the big kids were playing video games and say, "Hi boys".  Then he would wander into the kitchen to see the adults.

At times I had no idea where he was or who he was with, but knew he was ok when there was no crying.

It was a tool themed party and I made all the decorations, toolbelts, colouring books and crayons and the cake.

Note to self, do not use brown paper under a cake again.
Brown paper soaks up butter!

CAKE!!!!

and a video....

All in all I think a fun time was had by everyone.  Camden woke in the middle of the night asking for "more presents peas" and the next day sang "Happy Birthday" to himself all day.

Thank you to all our friends, let's do it again next year!
