First Haircut!

The time I had been putting off arrived on Saturday. Camden badly needed a haircut and I wanted it to be done before his birthday.

I thought we would go to a regular salon, but a new kids salon recently opened in Moncton and off we went. What an awesome place! Camden had so much to look at and a car to sit in, there was no squirming or crying. Success!

With a few snips of the scissors my baby was gone and a little boy appeared. I managed not to cry and make a fool of myself, but for the rest of the day I kept saying how grown up he looked.

Camden said...

While eating mini oreo cookies for dessert:
    Camden: Love cookies
    Mum-Mum: You love cookies?
    Camden: Cookie Monster too

While walking in the backyard:
    Mum-Mum: Camden, be careful in the brush
    Camden: No problem

While watching the movie Zathura, for the first time:
     Camden: Tiny robot
....A few seconds later
     Camden: Oooh, big robot

While watching the movie Zathura, for the second time:
     Camden: Ding dong, astronaut

While running around through the kitchen and living room:
    Camden: (hands held out behind him) Superman!
....A few seconds later
    Camden: (fist pump in the air) Taaaa-Daaaa

Every time he hears Niblet (the cat) cry:
    Camden: Nib, matter?

Every time he sees Duncan (the other cat):
    Camden: Hi Duncans!

Every time Da-Da comes back into the house from outside:
    Camden: Hi Bud-Bud!

When he sees something exciting or new:
    Camden: Wowzers!

Kitty Love

Camden loves the cats and they love him. Even Niblet has come around and now spends naptime curled up around Cam. Froot Loop is still not sure, but every now and then she will come around to get a kiss on the nose.

Duncan gets the most hugs, kisses and tail pulls as he is ALWAYS where Cam is.

The other day, Ron said Camden brought the cat tent to the living room and put a pillow inside. He then got mousie and both of them laid down to watch TV. Cute!

Eat It

Despite all the things we do outside during the Winter with snow, Camden seems to like to eat it the best!

Snow Day

We had a messy day today and I was sent home early from work (yippeeee!). When I pulled into the driveway, Ron and Camden were outside shovelling and playing.

I joined Camden for a long walk around the backyard and through some trees. He loves to eat snow and throw it around with his little scoop.

(Mum, his ears were covered all day, we just undid his hat for the last 10 minutes we were outside...promise)

Camden said...

Ron and Camden were walking in the marsh behind the house yesterday when Camden heard the train whistle blow from across the river. Ron said Cam yelled out, "allllllll aboard" and then kept walking on his merry way.

In addition to saying, "Miss me, miss me". Cam has added to it. "Miss me, miss me, kiss me, kiss me". Which I happily do, everytime!

Camden seems to love his condiments. On Tuesday we had pancakes for supper (pancake Tuesday) and Camden brought me, "peanut butter", "syrup", "jam", "mutard (aka mustard)", and "mayonnaise". He says all of these words perfectly.

This morning as we woke up for the day, Camden grabbed my arm and said, "Arm, big, muscles, Buzz." (Camden loves Buzz Lightyear at the moment)

I wanted to include a picture of the two of us reading. I love this time spent together.

Camden and Coady

Coady is heading back to Alberta after visiting with us for a while. All we hear these days is, "Coady, Coady, Coady!" Camden is in LOVE with his older brother.

I have managed to snap some pictures of the two of them enjoying their time together. Cam never sits still these days, so ignore any blurriness.
