Eat It

Despite all the things we do outside during the Winter with snow, Camden seems to like to eat it the best!

Snow Day

We had a messy day today and I was sent home early from work (yippeeee!).  When I pulled into the driveway, Ron and Camden were outside shovelling and playing.

I joined Camden for a long walk around the backyard and through some trees.  He loves to eat snow and throw it around with his little scoop.

(Mum, his ears were covered all day, we just undid his hat for the last 10 minutes we were outside...promise)

Camden said...

• Ron and Camden were walking in the marsh behind the house yesterday when Camden heard the train whistle blow from across the river.  Ron said Cam yelled out, "allllllll aboard" and then kept walking on his merry way.

• In addition to saying, "Miss me, miss me".  Cam has added to it.  "Miss me, miss me, kiss me, kiss me".  Which I happily do, everytime!

• Camden seems to love his condiments.  On Tuesday we had pancakes for supper (pancake Tuesday) and Camden brought me, "peanut butter", "syrup", "jam", "mutard (aka mustard)", and "mayonnaise".  He says all of these words perfectly. 

• This morning as we woke up for the day, Camden grabbed my arm and said, "Arm, big, muscles, Buzz."  (Camden loves Buzz Lightyear at the moment)

I wanted to include a picture of the two of us reading.  I love this time spent together.

Camden and Coady

Coady is heading back to Alberta after visiting with us for a while.  All we hear these days is, "Coady, Coady, Coady!"  Camden is in LOVE with his older brother.

I have managed to snap some pictures of the two of them enjoying their time together.  Cam never sits still these days, so ignore any blurriness.

This weekend Camden has said a lot of funny stuff.

• While watching the "troll in the dungeon" scene in Harry Potter, Camden kept saying, "Ogre, Big, Chasing, Peoples."  Which pretty much sums up that scene.

• Upon waking this morning Camden asked for milky.   After he nursed a few minutes he looked up at me and said, "licious." Which for him means delicious.  He has also said milky was "tasty" too.

• Cream has become "pream" and tummy has become "pummy."  It seems that for now he has lost his c's and t's.

•  He woke me up from our nap on Saturday by rubbing his nose against mine and saying, "tickles."

• Everything that looks good enough to eat is "ummy." 

•  He kept running around saying, "Miss me, miss me."  I'm still not sure why, but he likes "chasing", so maybe he thought I couldn't catch him?

It is so much fun to see what he is going to say next.  I suspect I will jot down a lot of funny things and add them to this blog.

Potty Time

It may be time to begin potty training with Camden.  He has sat on the potty a few times now, but on the weekend he told us "mousie" needed to pee.  He took the potty out of the cupboard in the washroom and sat mousie on it.  When he determined mousie was done, he took some tissue and wiped his bum.

After that, Cam decided to sit on the potty seat himself and practiced wiping.

Yup...time to get rid of the cloth diapers!

 

Winter Fun

We have had a lot of snow in the last two weeks.  The first big snowfall we played outside and made a snowman.

More snow fell over New Years and we made the most of it today.  Ron used the snow blower and made a walking/sledding path in the backyard and Camden went on his first ride down the driveway.
