2nd Birthday Party!

We had Camden's birthday party on April 6th and I think it was a wonderful success.  Everyone who was invited arrived and our house was packed.  It was awesome!

I wasn't sure how Camden would react to all the people and noise, he doesn't see many people on a day to day basis and doesn't have the chance to interact with many children.  I needn't have worried, he was amazing.

He would walk in the room where the big kids were playing video games and say, "Hi boys".  Then he would wander into the kitchen to see the adults.

At times I had no idea where he was or who he was with, but knew he was ok when there was no crying.

It was a tool themed party and I made all the decorations, toolbelts, colouring books and crayons and the cake.

Note to self, do not use brown paper under a cake again.
Brown paper soaks up butter!

CAKE!!!!

and a video....

All in all I think a fun time was had by everyone.  Camden woke in the middle of the night asking for "more presents peas" and the next day sang "Happy Birthday" to himself all day.

Thank you to all our friends, let's do it again next year!

Bunny Love

Opening Eggs

Easter 2013

This year marks the third Easter Camden has celebrated but the first Easter Egg Hunt.  It was lots of fun to watch him run around finding the eggs we hid in the house and outside.

We heard him say, "another egg", "crack open", and "more chocolate" all day!

Here are some pictures from our Easter.

A couple of weeks before Easter, we made a bunny.
Camden was much more interested in the cotton balls than the craft.

I hand sewed Cam a stuffed bunny....really bad job, but he likes it.

Egg hunt in the house

This one is the best....just look at that face!  Ha ha

We took the hunt outside as well.  It was a beautiful day.  10 degrees!

First Haircut!

The time I had been putting off arrived on Saturday.  Camden badly needed a haircut and I wanted it to be done before his birthday.

I thought we would go to a regular salon, but a new kids salon recently opened in Moncton and off we went.  What an awesome place!  Camden had so much to look at and a car to sit in, there was no squirming or crying.  Success!

With a few snips of the scissors my baby was gone and a little boy appeared.  I managed not to cry and make a fool of myself, but for the rest of the day I kept saying how grown up he looked.

Here are some pictures of Camden's haircut.

All done!
